Norfolk House, circa 1720, was rebuilt by the Victorians in 1883. The main house, together with the outbuildings, have been sympathetically restored and refurbished to provide luxurious holiday accommodation.
Situated in the Docking village conservation area, the North Norfolk Heritage Coast and nearby Royal Sandringham Estate are both designated areas of outstanding natural beauty.
There has been a settlment here in Docking since ancient times and several references to the parish can be found in the Doomsday Book, which was complied for King William I in 1086.

The sepia photo was taken 100 years ago, the inset shows the frontage of Norfolk House as is is today.

A pastoral scene in the village of Docking. This grazing land remains much the same as it was centuries ago!
